River Red Gum Landscape Timber

River Red Gum landscape timber

For garden retaining walls, steps and general landscaping purposes, naturally durable "landscape" grade hardwood timber provides a strong and durable alternative to reclaimed railway sleepers. River Red Gum is an ideal choice due to its hardness, durability, economical price and attractive dark red/orange color.

WHOLESALE ONLY PRODUCT

River Red Gum eucalyptus species is the preferred choice for landscape grade timber, which is an attractive red/brown colour in the initial rough sawn state.

Free from all chemical preservatives, River Red Gum offers exceptional in-ground and above ground life in normal exterior situations.

"Landscape" grade, green off saw (GOS) timber may contain some knot holes, gum pockets, gum veins, borer holes, surface cracking etc. but this will not affect the performance of the timber for landscaping applications.
Some small surface cracking and end splitting may also occur if the timber is exposed to extreme weather conditions at the time of installation.

Like most timber, River Red Gum gradually weathers to a soft grey when exposed to the sun and rain. This may take from 3 to 12 months depending on weather conditions and the degree of exposure to the elements.
